Hope your 2012 is off to an awesome start! 2011 was a big year for the Trip: we got our album done, played a bunch of gigs, and went on an unbelievable trip to Sweden (Thanks Carlos!).
We hope you'll help us kick off the new year at Kings Back Bay on Friday, January 20: super-swanky lounge to grab some drinks and dinner after you wreck your buddies in bowling. The Trip is SWEDEN BOUND! A huge month for Field Trip! The album's out and the band is off to Sweden for a series of gigs in Uppsula and Stockholm, thanks to Carlos de Rada (www.carlosderada.com). Carlos is a killin' bassist, and he's agreed to be step in to hold the bottom down while Tim Paul and Amie await the arrival of twins - please join us in wishing TP and Amie the absolute best! We'll try to do some blogging (or at least Facebooking, Tweeting or whatever the latest social media flavor of the month is)! Hope to catch you at the Middle East next Friday, October 7. Field Trip is bringing the funk to the Middle East corner bar on Friday, October 7. We hit the stage at 10:30. Only $3 cover charge. Come by for some down-home funk as we get down for the Middle East's Funk Friday series.

Middle East and forward!
Greetings all from the Trippers! We're about half finished with the overdubs for the album - a lot of work but it's worth it and it's going to sound awesome! Come check us out on Friday, May 20 at the Middle East (corner bar) in Central Square www.mideastclub.com. The onstage funk assault starts at 11 p.m. with no cover, and plenty of beer and people more beautiful than the band! Bring some friends, enjoy a beer or 6 and hang with us - the Trip is turning it up for this one!
Inaugural Field Trip album in the works!
Field Trip greets you with some cool news: we're in the midst of recording our debut album! Last fall marked a lot of time writing, and in December 2010 we laid down tracks at 1867 Recording Studios in Chelsea, MA. We got some fantastic sounds from this amazing room. After taking some time off for the holidays and spending some quality time with our snow plows and roof rakes, the Trip is back at it, working hard to complete some overdubs, then it's off for mixing, mastering, and all of those good things. Stay tuned for some early sounds from the new album - it's going to sound fantastic!
